It was a beautiful April day for the Children's Rights event at the Anne Frank Memorial in Boise. There were almost 100 pictures and statements provided by local children.

Guests view the display throughout the Memorial. Kids in attendance also had a chance to view the pictures and statements and reflect on their own ideas of children's rights.

The Discovery Center of Idaho was the perfect venue for this year's Celebration of Children and Families. The Rhythm Dogs provided entertainment.

A fire truck was at the ready for tours and safety advice. The Ada County Sheriff's office brought cars, toys and an obstacle course.

A father and son enjoy the Discovery Center displays. St. Luke's Pet Therapy Dogs were also on hand that day.

Coalition members offered activities in addition to the Discovery Center displays. First Lady Patricia Kempthorne read to children during one of the guest reader sessions.

Sheriff Raney prepares to read to children during his guest reader session. McGruff was also able to take part in the Discovery Center activities.

Coalition members have program information on display for parents and families. The Discovery Center is fun for kids of all ages.

There were over 1,700 people in attendance at the Celebration... breaking a Discovery Center record! Attendance was steady throughout the day, making the 2005 Celebration of Children and Families a great success.
