We envision a state where the safety and well being of all our children is the number one priority for all citizens.  Our strategy is designed to mobilize the entire community: human services, child care, medical, child protective services, law enforcement, legislative, parent/caretaker, media, and the business sector to come together in partnership to protect our children.

The Warm Springs Counseling Center provides the highest quality mental health services, education, and training to the children and families of our community. Since the 1970's, we have been working to address the need for quality mental health care in our community. We are, in fact, the only agency in our area that specializes in the treatment of children and families who does not place a cap on the number of low-income clients served. Through a unique subsidy program (Community Sponsorship Program) our clients are able to access our services with payment requirements based on the family's ability to pay. Children today are facing challenges that were virtually non-existent twenty years ago. With violence at home and at school and the new threat of terrorism on the rise, it is more crucial than ever that children receive the help they need from mental health professionals in order to cope with the stresses they face.

The Women's and Children's Alliance protects vulnerable women and children. Since 1980, the Women's & Children's Alliance (WCA) has been in the forefront of providing services to women and their children escaping violent circumstances.  In the past 23 years, the WCA’s crisis center has evolved into one of the most vital, unduplicated, comprehensive programs in our community and region.  The Women’s and Children’s Alliance is proud to be a community leader in providing safe shelter, support and hope to women and children victimized by domestic and sexual violence.

The WCA Currently Operates:

Two (2) secure shelter sites (housing for up to 90-120 days)

Two (2) transitional homes

Two (2) 24-hour domestic violence and/or rape crisis hotlines

Individual counseling

Children’s counseling

Victim support groups

Case management

Rape victim advocacy

Court advocacy (for individuals experiencing domestic and/or sexual violence)

Child and adolescent outreach

Shelter and residential services are available to children of the parent utilizing services. On-site childcare is available for support groups and classes. You must call and give the WCA 24- hour notice if you need childcare for the support group and/or classes.

Each year, the WCA shelters hundreds of women and their children. Roughly 75 percent of the women who come to the WCA crisis center bring children with them. The WCA reaches thousands of people each year with its messages and services.

Complimenting the established Crisis Center program is the WCA Thrift Shop. Individuals within the community contribute clothing, household items, and other in valuables that may then be sold to the general public to generate revenue. More importantly, however, these items are then made available, at no cost, to the Crisis Center residents.
