We are currently focused on the following three programs: The Idaho Child Abuse Prevention Coalition is a group of agencies, organizations, and individuals committed to creating awareness about child abuse and the programs that exist to combat this public health issue. The Safe Haven Crisis Nursery will be a safe place for children while parents work to address a crisis that may threaten the safety and unity of their family. Learn more about the progress of this project by clicking here. Circle of Parents is a Nationwide program offering parent led mutual self-help support groups. Named the statewide contact in December 2005, Idaho's Heart is currently seeking funding to offer facilitator training across the state. To learn more about this project click here. Future projects: Idaho's Heart is aware that there are many successful and beneficial programs that an prevent child abuse. Additional projects we are looking into for the future include: Project Safe Place: Currently offered in Coeur d'Alene and Pocatello, this national project creates a network of businesses that offer a safe place for children to turn when they feel their safety is threatened. Heart is committed to making Idaho a safe environment for all of our children.
We serve as the starting point when gaps in services come to attention.
Idaho’s Heart seeks to support agencies and organizations struggling to
provided needed services to children and families. Coordinating with existing
organizations whenever possible, Idaho’s Heart focuses on assisting with
statewide administration of programs, creating programs where needed and
expanding where the need exists.
